The Amazons prepare to defend Themyscira from the unknown threat and assume
that the attack will come from the American Warships off the coast. Rachael
Keast arrives and informs them that Diana will be turning herself in to the
International Court in the Hague for trial. On hearing how the outside world
is reacting to the news of Diana's murder of Max Lord, Io reluctantly agrees
to build the "weapon".
Wonder Woman arrives at the Hague under the eyes of the world's media and pleads
not guilty to the charge of murder, claming "Affirmative Defense".
She is given parole and ordered to stay in the detention facilities within the
Hague's compound. Meanwhile Cheetah has broken in and murdering several guards,
bides her time ready to attack Diana. She watches from the shadows as Donna
Troy and Supergirl arrive to try and persuade Diana to accompany them on their
mission into space, because the future of the cosmos hangs in the balance. She
declines, saying she must face her destiny here. Once they leave, Cheetah attacks
and after a brief fight Wonder Woman pounds the villainess into unconsciousness.
At that moment thousands of OMACs swoop down upon Paradise Island to annihilate
the Amazons!
