Star Icon Comments:

This is a seminal issue as Wonder Woman's world is turned completely upside down. Everything she has worked for all these many years in her mission to Man's World has been destroyed in an instant by her killing of the evil Max Lord - and now her actions will have irrevocable consequences for her future too.
This issue ties in with the land mark crossover event, "Infinite Crisis", which will re-shape the DC Universe for the next decade just as the original "Crisis on Infinite Earths" event had done before. The heroes of DC face their greatest challenges and some will not make it - will Wonder Woman be among the casualties once more?

Star Icon Plot Summary:

Io recovers from her attack at the hands of Ares and is told that Callisto, the Amazon Oracle, has foreseen the death of the Amazons. Artemis and Phillipus ask Io to build an unspecified "weapon" to protect them but Io refuses. Meanwhile Wonder Woman tells an angry Athena that she is going to turn herself in to the authorities for the murder of Max Lord.
Diana then summons her Embassy staff to tell them of her intentions as well as the fact that Jonah McCarthy had been a spy for Max Lord all along. Suddenly Wonder Woman is attacked by three OMACs and she manages to disable two of them before taking the battle to a safer location on Stratten Island. She defeats the final OMAC and takes him to the hospital for treatment. Seeing the fearful reaction to her arrival by staff and patients she turns to the TV screen and sees that her murder of Max Lord is being broadcast to every TV in the world. Big Brother has not been able to kill her body so it has instead killed her mission...killed her name!!!
