The Justice Alliance, Superman and Wonder Woman arrive to find the Justice League and Amazo floating unconscious in the shattered remnants of the Mirrored Room. They revive Green Lantern, who explains what happened. The League were able to convince Amazo not to break through the barriers when they explained the consequences for the Multiverse, but the powerful being beyond the mirrors telepathically called out to Overman, who broke the boundaries and freed it.
The being is revealed to be Amazo-II, an alternate version of Amazo from another reality, who fused with the Anti-Life Equation and became almost omnipotent, slaughterring all life in his own universe and now trying to move on to others. The Justice Alliance and Justice League attack the other Amazo but he easily defeats them, seemingly killing Superman, both Batmen and Hawkgirl. However, the Martian Manhunters realise this was merely a telepathic illusion, created both to satisfy the hero’s need for a noble fight against impossible odds, and to demonstrate the futility of it.
The Amazo of the League’s universe pleads with his counterpart to resist the Anti-Life Equation, but Amazo-II simly destroys him and declares that he will now annihilate all of creation.
