Synopsis
Wonder Woman and Giganta continue to follow the trail but are puzzled as to why they cannot yet see the creature in the distance. They suddenly hear a commotion and find a man in a badly crushed pick-up truck. The Amazon Princess rescues him from the cab as he tells them how the ground itself seemed to erupt around him.
Sure enough they realise too late that the creature is able to travel underground, which is why they have not been able to see it, and it rears up. Wonder Woman carries the man to safety away from the scene as Giganta takes on the behemoth. But it’s too much even for her and the Diana has to swoop in to save her.
The battle ends up taking the combatants towards a nearby diner and as the stunned patrons look on, fearing for their lives, Giganta and Wonder Woman team up and as the former bear hugs the creature’s legs, Wonder Woman uses her lasso to loop around its neck, intending on bringing it down but instead she sheersthrouhg the neck and decapitates the beast.
Giganta and Wonder Woman look down at the remains and the Amazon Princess says that her lasso is not powerful enough to fell a Titan like that and Giganta replies that perhaps these are not Titans at all.
A short while later the two are being served complimentary refreshments by the Diner owner and Diana apologizes for having her sword by her side, as she knows they do not like weapons on display here. On hearing this, Giganta suddenly remembers something the creature had said to her during their fight – about it protecting a sword?
Meanwhile Maggie and the mythical creatures continue their wilderness trek and as they take a break by a lake, Maggie spots something glinting under the water. She dives in and resurfaces holding aloft a sword…
