Synopsis

Aphrodite tells Steve how she has become bored with Love as it only seems to cause pain and heartache for people. Steve replies that he is in Love with someone and that people are brave and face adversity because of love. She sees he is wounded and heals him, before agreeing to help him find Diana.

Back in the town Wonder Woman is helping tow children escape the carnage and when they tell her that their grandfather works in the parliament building she decides to take them there as it is the safest place. When she arrive she discovers their grandfather is in fact the prime minister, who is overjoyed to see his grandchildren and cannot thank the Amazon Princess enough.

Just then Steve arrives, accompanied by Aphrodite, and they embrace lovingly. He reveals to Diana that he has been helped by the Goddess of Love and a stunned Wonder Woman kneels in fealty. She asks if the Goddess can tell her what has happened on Themyscira to enable Ares to escape his prison and whether her mother is OK? But Aphrodite replies that she is as clueless about hat has happened as Diana, and that she was imply minding her own business on Olympus when she had found herself suddenly transported here.

Just then an aide rushes in saying that the insurgents have agreed peace talks at a certain location across the city. Wonder Woman and Steve agree to help him get there safely. As they venture through the war torn streets the Amazon Princess, with a little help from Aphrodite, protects them from the barrage of shells. As the shelling intensifies they hear the rumble of jets and realise Etta has summoned some covering fire for them.

They finally make it to the rendezvous point but Wonder Woman is horrified to see Ares standing there, who accuses them of siding with the charlatan of a prime minister and opposing the righteous insurgents. And now they all must pay!
