This series was sold exclusively at Walmart stores in the United States. It was part of a larger partnership with DC Comics which was launched in July 2018. The first issue continued the story from Justice League Giant #7 but subsequent issues featured one original story per issue and various reprints from Wonder Woman and Justice League titles.
The final issue was published in August 2019 and was replaced by a new series with the same name starting in September 2019, although the new series was not exclusive to Walmart.
The main story “Come Back To Me” was subsequently re-printed as a mini series in 2020.
Synopsis - Come Back To Me - Part Six
On the Justice League Watchtower, Superman informs Wonder Woman that the justice League has voted to expel her because of the loss of her powers. She tries to convince them she can still be useful in a fight, but Batman states that her abilities are limited due to her over-dependence on her powers. As Diana protests stating she fought many enemies using just her skills and her powers may return, Hal Jordan tells her that they can’t consider to look after her safety in case an enemy learns that she’s lost her powers. Diana states they’re making a mistake, but nonetheless accepts their decision.
While getting in an aircraft, she rebuffs Superman’s offer to fly her back and states expelling her is a mistake, though agrees to let him examine her to determine why she lost her powers. As she heads to Earth, she suddenly notices a missile heading toward the Watchtower, but is unable to warn the League, resulting in its destruction. Diana however suddenly wakes up and realizes it was a nightmare after Steve states she fell unconscious. Hex tells them that he’s finished burying Nate and they can now pay their respects. He however soon notices the storm coming and cuts the funeral short, telling them to get back to the cave.
Steve carries Diana despite her reluctance while Jonah guides the party. As Sibella asks her about his missing friend, he gets suspicious as he never even told her about it and aims a gun at her when she doesn’t offer a good-enough explanation. Sibella however holds him at his throat and Diana tries to defuse the situation. As she prepares to use her lasso of truth, it gets snatched by Cheetah, due to which Diana’s hands start bleeding. As Hex tries to shoot Barbara, he is stopped by Diana who explains she was once her close friend and blames her for wronging her. Etta suggests tracking her, but the lightning erratically striking at trees causes them to run for shelter. There, they notice the TSB Federation calling out to Princess Sibella to surrender for stealing their starship.
Synopsis - Team-Up: Green Arrow
This story is reprinted from Justice League (Volume 2) #8.
At a senate committee hearing, representatives ask Steve Trevor to plant a member on the Justice League. Trevor responds, stating that the League is a very tight-knit group, and that he doesn’t know anybody as professional and well-respected who could join.
In Metropolis, Green Arrow assists the Justice League in dealing with Professor Ivo’s Amazo robot, much to their chagrin. Arrow is desperate to join the League, but Batman believes that an addition to the team is the last thing they want.
Green Arrow continues to follow the League and aid them on their missions, fighting adversaries such as the Court of Owls and Cultists, but they continue to deny his requests. Once Arrow arrives in his lair, he encounters none other than Steve Trevor. Trevor believes that Queen has no place on the League, and offers him a spot on another team that could use his skills.
Back on the Watchtower, the League agrees that rejecting Green Arrow was a good thing, as the last time they allowed someone into the team, it ended very badly. While Martian Manhunter may be long gone, he still knows more about them than they know about each other.
Back on Earth, Martian Manhunter listens to the League’s conversation, stating that “they are not prepared”.
