With Superman turned by the zombie virus, Earth faces extinction. Space arks prepare to transport the survivors to a new world, but the surviving heroes must battle zombie Superman to keep him busy in order to give the arks time to escape.
Wonder Woman fuses Kryptonite that Batman had left Damien, with magic in order to create a lethal sword that hopefully will be enough to stop the Man of Steel. Diana, Green Lantern and Cyborg confront the raging Kal El and the Amazon Princess manages to cut off his arm before plunging the sword into his gut. But this fails to stop Superman who responds in turn by punching her through her chest.
As she falls to the ground, Cyborg cradles the dying Amazon and tells Dinah to leave them both here ad to go and warn the arks that Superman is coming for them.
The arks manage to lift of but Superman is now in pursuit, so Superboy flies towards him and collides with him, slowing him down enough for the Green Lantern Corps to arrive to offer assistance. Outnumbered, the Man of Steel flies into the sun and drains it, sending the Earth and the Solar System into a deep freeze.
The Corps quarantine the area and escort the arks to a new Earth while back on the colling Earth, the now zombified Diana tells Cyborg that he could have stopped the virus all along, before savagely killing him.
