Wonder Woman manages to use her diplomatic skills to calm the situation and to request that they give her and Batman one more day to solve the murder – after which – if no closer to the truth – they will leave the warring factions to do as they will.
Batman tells Wonder Woman that he needs to question Donal again and when the Amazon Princess replies that she had already asked if had murdered the king using the lasso, the Caped Crusader responds that he needs to know more details.
So, they question the boy and he retells how he had knocked on the door of King Elatha and had heard him laughing joyfully. He had opened the door to see the King lying immobile apart from his head, still laughing. He had asked the king of he was alright and all the king had said in response was “Thank the Lord I was right. All this time I was right!”.
After the interrogation Batman tells Diana that the use of the words “Thank the Lord” did not seem appropriate for a Tir Na Nog and that he thinks he knows what happened.
Summoning the others he explains that he believes the King is still alive and that he had managed to switch bodies with someone in Gotham. He is planning to use the silver arm to open the doorway and free all the people of Tir Na Nog.
Back in Gotham King Elatha cuts off his arm at the elbow and attaches the silver arm he has now retrieved from its hiding place. Now whole again, he uses the power to open the gateway but in doing so also allows Balor Evil-Eye to advance into Tir Na Nog with his army.
As Cernunnos transports Batman back to Gotham to guard the now open entrance way into the city, Wonder Woman says she will remain to help in the battle ahead with Balor.
