Black Manta revels in his new powers and knows he is moments away from taking down Superman, Flash and Mera. Meanwhile at the Hall of Justice a triumphant Lex looks down on the Totality as Cheetah stands by his side ready with the Graveyard of the Gods. While she hates the idea of destroying the relic she comforts herself with the knowledge that Wonder Woman is still trapped inside and will perish.
Elsewhere in the facility the rest of the Legion are hunting for the crippled Batman but whose confidence soon dissipates as the attacks them wearing one of Lex’s old encounter suits.
Inside the Graveyard Poseidon tells the fuming Aquaman that he had actually been trying to help Arthur by using his trident to enhance Aquaman’s own powers but had not realised the latter had already been taken by Black Manta. He then gives Arthur and Diana a history lesson about Arion and how the Triumvirate of Sea Gods had once come in good faith. Aquaman wonders whether they can reason with them again but Poseidon says that they are trapped in here.
At that moment Cheetah allows Lex to destroy the Graveyard which they hope will cause a cosmic effect enabling them to take the powers of the Gods. But Batman suddenly crashes through the wall having taken out the other Legion members though is unable to sop Lex and the others teleporting away with the Totality.
Back with Mera and the others, as all seems lost she finally finds the Tear of Extinction in Arion’s tomb, the weapon Black Manta had referred to. She uses it to kill The Flood and as the waters recede Black Manta and the remainder form a hasty retreat.
As the Graveyard of the Gods begins to collapse around them Wonder Woman uses the boat she arrived in to help her and Aquaman escape. Poseidon says that he must stay behind to provide them with enough wind to sail and bids them a final farewell. He hands Arthur his trident and tells him to kill the Triumvirate.
Meanwhile the Triumvirate lick their wounds realising their foes now have the power to kill them. But Black Manta tells them to stop pitying themselves and persuades them to release the ultimate weapon at their disposal – the Death Kraken!
