First issue of a new Justice League volume that continues the story from Justice League: No Justice #4.

The league has a new home in the form of the Hall of Justice. But they do not have much time to enjoy their new surroundings before helping to save the world once again.

Martian Manhunter coordinates his team mates efforts telepathically as they prevent disaster falling upon the Earth caused by groups of advanced Neanderthals who Vandal Savage has directed on conquering the world.

As the mission comes to an end however Martian Manhunter picks up an approaching object and calls an immediate meeting of the league as they only have about three minutes before the object arrives at Earth.

They discuss whether the object is a threat or a saviour, as the Manhunter explains to them that, as a result of them breaking the source wall, this “totality” has leaked out using all of the wall’s energy as a battery. Cyborg scans it and confirms it is older than anything else and is moving with a kind of propose, phasing.

Superman wonders if it is coming to help them, especially as the multiverse is dying. Cyborg says he is unsure but it is sending some sort of code, and shows them. Batman adds that there is a myth on New Genesis that the source wall was our incubator and when the universe was ready a messenger would emerge with a code to evolve the universe.

Meanwhile as they debate, Lex Luthor appears at Vandal Savages supposed secret hideout and reveals that the base had been built to his specifications all along. He knows that Savage knew what was in the source wall all along and what is coming. He introduces the rest of his new team, the Legion of Doom, and proceeds to kill Savage before taking over the base.

Meanwhile as the league vote Manhunter sees a vision of him being the last living thing left in the universe. And all because he hadn’t realised that the multiverse and all of creation had been built on an unseen door.

As the Totality arrives he hopes it is a force of good, while Lex believes it brings doom.
