Synopsis

Clark asks Lois if she has seen Hunter this morning as he is not in his room. As she replies that she has not Clark suddenly feels ill and immediately  recognises the effects of Kryptonite. Suddenly Aquaman materialises with a Red Solar Flare weapon he tells the weakened Man of Steel he has stolen from Batman. He makes swift work of Clark but hesitates when Lois tries to intervene and he apologises and tells her none of this is her fault but not to interfere. He then knocks her out and teleports away with Clark.

Meanwhile in Nova Scotia, the site of the confrontation with the Kindred,  Wonder Woman is staring into the sky and asks the JLA computer to pin pint if there is still a signal being transmitted and her suspicions are confirmed.

Not far away the children have gathered and are spying on her ready to make their move, unaware that the Amazon Princess can hear their plotting with her enhanced sense of hearing. So when they attack she is ready for them and pleads for them to stand down as she does not want to hurt any of them. As she effortless deals with her attackers Hunter manages to wrestle her to the ground and they grapple with each other.

Back in Smallville Batman arrives on the scene and when Lois tells her who their attacker was Bruce says he has already been visited by Arthur. She tells him to warn the rest of the league but he tells her he is getting no replies.

Aquaman systematically visits Flash and Green Lantern, then Cyborg, taking them down one at a time using weapons he has taken from Batman’s secret arsenal.

In Nova Scotia has finally subdued Hunter and tells the others to stand down but Hunter orders Cube to boom tube them away.

At the disaster zone in Midway city Steve arrives and sees Green Lantern still standing there using his ring to contain the pathogen. He asks if Simon has been here all night and gets a distracted answer, as Green Lantern can still hear voices in his head speaking to him and telling him the time has come to open the shield he has created around the pathogen.

Suddenly Wonder Woman and the children arrive via the Boom Tube and Steve asks if the Amazon Princess if she is OK and she replies she is fine, but is fascinated by the pathogen behind Lantern’s shield. Hunter asks Cube why he had brought them here but is told that this was not intended destination and it was as if something else had guided them here.

They see the pathogen and realises that they “darkness” from their future is already here. Just then Green Lantern is told by the voices to open the shield and as she does so the darkness erupts from the opening and engulfs Wonder Woman!

Meanwhile on the shoreline of Amnesty Bay Mera finds Eldoris watching the sun rise. Mera sits next to her and asks what happens to her and Arthur in the future. Eldoris replies that Mera dies fighting but is clearly holding something back. When Mera pushes her to reveal all she is told that Arthur did not die and that it was horrible what he became.

Suddenly her eyes open wide as Arthur materialises. She immediately goes on the defensive as Mera, who is missing her own incarnation of Arthur, approaches him. Arthur softens, seeing his long lost love and gently asks if he has come to kill them as Eldoris fears. He replies softly that he could never do that, but regretfully turns and activates his device, summoning Mount Olympus from the future which materialises before their eyes.

He turns back to them and tells them that Sovereign, the Queen of the World, has come to reclaim everything she has lost. And the world will burn until she finds it…
