Synopsis

An alien race, the Sunturians, has infiltrated Metropolis, disguising their warship as a city block as part of their plan to conquer Earth. The Sunturians are beings composed of red sun particles. Having his powers drained, Superman surrenders to the Sunturians and the guards take him to Allysun, the queen of the Sunturians. Allysun does not believe Superman would attack the Sunturians without a plan and Superman admits he did think of a plan to stop them.

In that moment, several canisters containing hundred thousand gallons of water fall all over the Sunturian warship. Superman had tossed them into the air a few moments before the Sunturians captured him. Holding enough power to escape the flooded ship, Superman rises into the sky and uses his ice breath to freeze the warship and hurl it into space. However, the Sunturian mothership appears above Earth.

Meanwhile, Lois is having a party at her new apartment. The door rings and Lois welcomes the newest guest: Diana Prince, Clark’s date. In a few minutes, Diana gets acquainted with Clark’s friends and co-workers.

At S.T.A.R. Labs, a team of scientists is guarding the comatose Hector Hammond. Suddenly, the lab computers detect Hammond’s brain activity is decreasing.

After defeating the Suntarians, Clark returns to Earth and goes to Lois’ party, buying a bottle of wine along the way. As he gets to the door, he hallucinates of Lois dressed in Wonder Woman’s outfit. Clark quickly shrugs the hallucination off.

Meanwhile, Orion arrives at S.T.A.R. Labs, continuing his search for Superman, who is prophesied to cause the destruction of the universe. Finding Hammond’s comatose body, Orion realizes that he is not the man of the prophecy, but he still wields malevolent power. As he prepares to kill him, a group of guards arrive and aim their guns at him. Orion then discovers Hammond is brain-dead, so he leaves S.T.A.R. Labs to continue his search.

At the party, Clark notices that his friends are acting a bit strange, he even suspects they might be under mind control. Diana takes Clark to the balcony so they can share a romantic moment. Just as they are about to kiss, however, an unknown force pulls Clark and throws him into the river. Putting on his armor, Superman rises from the river and prepares to fight the unknown opponent. Then, Orion grabs hold of Superman’s cape, saying that the Kryptonian must die for the sake of the universe.
