Synopsis
Four years ago, David Graves was in his home, with a doctor telling him he was going to die. In a rage, he shot his doctor and was not seen since then.
Four years later in Washington, D.C., Colonel Steve Trevor is stopped outside a liquor store by two paparazzi who ask about his breakup with Wonder Woman. After punching one of them, Steve goes to his sister’s house for dinner, showing how much he cares for her and her children.
In Gotham, Batman is thinking on the letter he recently received from The Flash while remembering his childhood. Alfred tells him that a break-in at Arkham Asylum has disabled the locks on the cell of the super criminal known as the The Key.
In Metropolis, Lois Lane is bragging to Perry White and Steve Lombard before offering to buy lunch for everyone in the office… except Clark Kent. Clark receives a text message from Bruce Wayne asking if he has “lunch plans.”
Batman and Superman are seen trying to keep prisoners under control in Arkham Asylum when Cyborg appears and helps them find the Key.
Steve Trevor is then seen entering his apartment. Thinking someone is there, he draws his gun and a mysterious figure approaches him and kidnaps him.
In Central City, the Flash and Green Lantern have just taken down Weapons Master. Though both remember that Green Lantern is better at playing “bad cop” in any interrogation, Flash asks to be “bad cop.” After failing spectacularly, he calls in Wonder Woman, who uses the Lasso of Truth while Superman, Batman, and Cyborg find the Key. The Key and Weapons Master then reveal that they are working for Graves, while Graves tortures Steve Trevor. Graves then threatens to harm Steve’s sister and her children unless Steve tells him everything he knows about the Justice League. Steve submits.
