With the launch of the New 52, which rebooted the entire DC Universe – after the events of the Flashpoint crossover event – the Justice League title was relaunched with the core members. The term (of America) was dropped from the title and as a result of the timeline disruption caused by Flashpoint, the team featured in this book was younger and the story starts before they have even met each other and formed the Justice League together.

Wonder Woman does not actually feature in the first two issues but is depicted on the various covers that supported the launch of the new title.

Synopsis

Five years ago, Batman and an alien are being pursued by Gotham’s Finest. Green Lantern saves Batman from the police and the two form an uneasy alliance in order to find the alien. They journey to Metropolis to confront Superman, another alien. He doesn’t take well to being confronted by the two heroes, however.
