The DC Retroactive event featured a number of main characters and teams across three different one-shots, each spotlighting them in an original story by the legendary writers and artists who helped mould the character from a certain decade – the 70’s, 80’s and the 90’s. Each issue also reprinted a classic tale from that same era, in this case from Justice League of America (volume one) #123.

First Story Synopsis

The league help Alanna to rescue her husband Adam Strange who has fallen victim to Kanjar Ro’s evil plans.

Second Story Synopsis

On Earth-Prime, Cary Bates and Elliott Maggin are contemplating the next issue of JLA to write for their world when they both go into Carmine Infantino’s office and stumble upon the Cosmic Treadmill Earth-1’s Flash left behind. Accidentally, they activate it and Cary Bates disappears to Earth-2 as a villain, with superpowers. Maggin follows behind but lands up on Earth-1 instead with the JLA. The JLA then goes to Earth-2 to help out the JSA, who has been fighting the Injustice Society and accidentally ‘kill’ each member, revealing the members were actually disguised JSA members. The JLA then vow to stop the Injustice Society and bring them to justice for the JSA .
