This was a weekly year-long event, similar to “52” and “Countdown”  but unlike the latter, it was an entirely self-contained story. Unlike either of its predecessors, however, it focused on the major super-heroes of the DC Universe, Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, instead of the lesser developed characters.

Each issue of Trinity had two stories; the main one, focusing on the Trinity themselves, and the backup, focusing on other characters involved in the overall storyline.

Synopsis

Interceptor tires of the debate Kellel, Dinanna, and Ahtmahn are having on what to do with the outsiders and breaks the energy field that has been holding her group. Kellel tries to imprison them again but finds out that the group is too much like them for his powers to work. Tresser realizes just being near the three is affecting them. Alfred deduces that by yelling things they now remember from the old world will ‘wake them up’. The group finds that this affects themselves as well causing them to remember even more. Interceptor tires of their continued debate and hits the three of them with her body and states they have a duty to New Earth and she is willing to give up being respected a respected military officer. Finally convinced the three gods teleport all of them to New Earth.
