This was a weekly year-long event, similar to “52” and “Countdown”  but unlike the latter, it was an entirely self-contained story. Unlike either of its predecessors, however, it focused on the major super-heroes of the DC Universe, Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, instead of the lesser developed characters.

Each issue of Trinity had two stories; the main one, focusing on the Trinity themselves, and the backup, focusing on other characters involved in the overall storyline.

Synopsis

Alfred’s group is driven from the caravan but one of the harbor folk comes tells them machinists continue the ways of the Firstgod. He then completes the tale of Dinanna and the Gray Lord. Angered by the Gray Lord’s gloating Dinanna kills him by breaking his neck. Alfred’s group realizes this was parallel to Wonder Woman’s killing of Maxwell Lord. They are told this event caused Dinanna to turn from hope to the warrior’s way. The harbor folk then returns to the caravan and Alfred’s group discovers that as they hear the stories not only do their memories return but so do their abilities.

Interceptor uses her super-hearing to listen to the caravan but as the tell begins Machinists sit in wait planning on wiping out the caravan.
