Sally Marsden is being interviewed by a police psychiatrist, and is not enjoying the experience. Meanwhile, Diana visits the hospital bedside of one of the gang members, and discovers that the suits they have been using were going to be supplied to the Boston PD before it was discovered that they were faulty.
Marsden assaults the psychiatrist and locates one of the department’s trial fighting suits and goes after Pepe, one of the Redblacks, destroying her house. Diana has to rescue the family before catching up with the girl in question, who is of course backed up by the rest of the gang. She is about to kill Pepe when her suit explodes, due to the fault, and is only saved from death by Pepe’s swift action. The supplier of the suits is discovered to be Jensen, another member of the police department, who thought that if she supplied the suits to the gangs, then the police would be forced to follow.
Diana has learned much, about the nature of Patriarch’s world, and the differences between the women of Themyscira and the women of America. Ares is content that this knowledge makes her a little less idealistic about the world.
