Based on the video game of the same name, this series featured an alternate version of Wonder Woman. The title was released as a weekly Digital Comic in parallel with a monthly print version.

The alternate reality featured in Injustice explored a world where heroes take justice into their own hands and become an authoritarian regime under the command of Superman.  Wonder Woman allies herself with Kal, meaning she is effectively a villain in this title.

Director Zack Snyder had intended his original two part Justice League movie, that was going to follow on from the events of ‘Batman versus Superman’, to be based on the events of Injustice. This authoritarian world controlled by the Man of Steel was even hinted at in a flash-forward “dream sequence” in the 2016 movie.

Synopsis

The Gods have decided that Superman must step down as ruler of the Earth and Wonder Woman finds herself at odds with her fellow Amazonians. She demands a “judgement by combat” with one champion from each side. But when the Gods select her to fight on their behalf, she is faced with having to battle Superman to the death.
