This series was a prequel to the Injustice 2 video game. The series was released as a weekly Digital Comic in parallel with a print version.

The alternate reality featured in Injustice explored a world where heroes take justice into their own hands and become an authoritarian regime under the command of Superman.  Wonder Woman allies herself with Kal, meaning she is effectively a villain in this title.

Director Zack Snyder had intended his original two part Justice League movie, that was going to follow on from the events of ‘Batman versus Superman’, to be based on the events of Injustice. This authoritarian world controlled by the Man of Steel was even hinted at in a flash-forward “dream sequence” in the 2016 movie.

Synopsis

The Gorilla City rebellion explodes, putting Ra’s al Ghul and his mission in jeopardy. It’s up to the Suicide Squad to get him out alive—but Ra’s has a trick or two up his sleeve. Later, Amazo is sent on another mission of mass destruction, but a new champion wearing the “S” shield is out to stop him.
