This series was a prequel to the Injustice 2 video game. The series was released as a weekly Digital Comic in parallel with a print version.

The alternate reality featured in Injustice explored a world where heroes take justice into their own hands and become an authoritarian regime under the command of Superman.  Wonder Woman allies herself with Kal, meaning she is effectively a villain in this title.

Director Zack Snyder had intended his original two part Justice League movie, that was going to follow on from the events of ‘Batman versus Superman’, to be based on the events of Injustice. This authoritarian world controlled by the Man of Steel was even hinted at in a flash-forward “dream sequence” in the 2016 movie.

Synopsis

Booster Gold trains Blue Beetle, while over in Kahndaq, Wonder Woman trains Supergirl. Damian heads to Gorilla City to join Ra’s al Ghul and his allies, only to walk into the middle of Grodd’s rebellion against King Solovar.
