Four part mini-series following on from the aftermath of the Dark Metal event.
Green Arrow intercepts Amanda Waller in the antarctic on her way to where one of the Omega Titan beacons is buried, having learned of their plans after hacking Brainiac. She explains to him that she is trying to save the planet and that he and the other heroes should be helping her. He in turn tells her that he is the only hero left on the planet as all the others are being held in some sort of status by Brainiac.
Back on Colu the four justice league teams are trying to formalise a strategy as the planet’s population panics. They see the Tree of Wisdom and presume that this is one of the beacons that has summoned the Omega Titan. Cyborg scans it and tells them that it is actually made of information. Lex then reminds them all that they need to work together and that Brainiac’s plan was for each team to focus on their respective energies and re balance. They need to find the other three beacons and amp them up to counter the power of the Wisdom beacon.
The teams split but find that each beacon is protected by various guards. As Team Wisdom fight their way into the Tree of Entropy they discover it is a prison. Batman tells his team they need to let out all the inmates in the hope of countering the tree feeding on all the chaos inside. They do this but through the enhanced suits that Brainiac had given each member they can still feel the ultimate source is somewhere deep inside at the very centre of the prison.
Back on Earth Waller and Green Arrow are dismayed to find that the beacon is already active and she realises that by killing Brainiac she must have activated one of his fail-safes.
Back on Colu Team Entropy finally reach the centre of the prison and discover that the inmate is none other than Vril Drox, Brainiac’s son
