This series didn’t take itself too seriously and was set in an alternate future where the Justice League are brought back to life – though with very different personalities from what they had before. This series continued the story from a previous series called Justice League 3000.
Synopsis
As a part of the peace deal brokered by Supergirl between the Justice League and Starro one of the native Wodinians is released from Starro’s possession reverting him back to his primitive nature. Batman and The Flash argue ethics but Starro warns them all to leave before the Galactic Councils need to be brought in and they are teleported back to Camelot Nine alongside a representative of the Starro Consciousness.
The return of the League causes Ariel Masters (who is actually Lois Lane) an enormous headache and, after placing the Starro Rep in Guy Gardner’s room, she goes for a drink to clear her head and L-Ron attempts to reason that she is intentionally not bringing about the League’s downfall because she wants them to succeed.
Batman brings Superman 3000 to a bar on Takron-Galtos and explains that he doesn’t trust Ariel when Sheriff Tariq appears causing Superman to panic and flee the building – momentarily forgetting he no longer has powers of flight. Watching the carnage are Booster Gold and Blue Beetle who are looking over a large humanoid turtle that Ice and Fire had knocked onto his back. From behind them Green Lantern Hal Jordan and Barry Allen appear and criticise their reckless methods. The turtle monster then transforms back to a vaguely-human state and has a remarkable resemblance to Jimmy Olsen.
Batman and Superman land clumsily and begin to argue before a crime forces Batman away only to find the assailant murdered down a back alley and the Bat insignia scrawled in blood on the walls.
Tariq reports back to Ariel about Superman and Batman fleeing who threatens to reveal that he is actually The Convert, one of The Five whom the league defeated. The meeting then steels Ariel’s reserve and she vows to destroy the League once and for all.
Back inside the castle Guy knocks the Starro Representative down the stairs and goes out for a drink with Wonder Woman to talk things out about his gender change, tying the Rep up to a flagpole so they can keep an eye on her.
Supergirl also is struggling with her new team, specifically Teri, her room-mate, who is racing around in excitement of the two sharing a room causing Kara to plead for L-Ron to send her back out into space!
