As World War 1 begins, the Bat-Man is on the trail of Luthor –now the Secretary of Defence–who has been selling advanced weaponry and secrets to the Germans in order to escalate the war. Luthor is also helping Diana of Themyscria, whose people have been defeated and enslaved by the Germans. Using Tesla’s theories and Diana’s science, Luthor creates a deathray that will defeat the Germans and land him the Presidency.
General Jordan stumbles onto Luthor’s madness just after the Germans use a nuclear bomb to destroy London. Luthor kills Jordan, who then orders his ring to bring back Clark Kent, the Superman. As the Germans fire on New York, Clark stops the rockets and Diana sacrifices herself to destroy Luthor’s deathray. In the end, the war is won, but not without heavy causalities on both sides. Finally the League of Justice convinces the nations of the world to come together in peace, thus forming the Justice League of Nations.
