Star Icon Comments:

This issue truly is the calm before the storm - a storm that will change Wonder Woman's world forever! When the previews were published a few months in advance of this issue and the previous one in which Diana regains her sight, the cover artwork teased the fans by still showing Diana wearing her blindfold.

Star Icon Plot Summary:

Ares arrives on Paradise Island and steals Lyta, badly wounding Io in the process as she tries to stop him. The God of War then visits Circe and together they return to Hades - father, mother and child - together at last. Diana visits Wonder Girl to discuss why she had kept the secret of who Cassie's real father was for so long. Meanwhile Leslie Anderson confronts her friend Veronica Cale after finding evidence that it was she who had been responsible for what had happened to Vanessa Kapatelis as the Silver Swan. But Veronica has covered her trail well and warns Leslie that it will appear as if it was Leslie who was responsible, instead of Veronica.
Wonder Woman returns to the Embassy and her newly restored sight seems to give her even greater insight into the truth. She realises that Jonah McCarthy has been hiding something but before she can confront him she is summoned to Themyscira as a result of Ares' attack on Io. Diana asks Ferdinand to keep Jonah there until she returns.
Wonder Woman, after being told by Phillipus and Artemis that Ares has violated the island and kidnapped Lyta, prepares to go after the God but Athena appears and instructs her to forget about Ares for now, as he will be punished in due course. Back in the Embassy, Jonah overpowers Ferdinand and makes his escape!
