During the Silver Age there were a number of covers that featured Diana fighting duplicates of herself. This particular issue had the Amazon Princess fighting a robot Wonder Woman - and the original cover depicted Wonder Woman looking like she was on the verge of defeat! I decided that for the re-imagined version it might be fun instead to have Diana being victorious over the impostor - and to make things a little more interesting - have her doppelganger wearing the new costume. This piece also carries the alternative title of "Triumph of the Icon!". Just my little way of expressing my personal dislike for Diana's new look.
But whether you're a fan of the new Jim Lee design or not, I hope you all enjoy this fantastic cover artwork by Al Rio, as the classic, iconic Wonder Woman triumphs over her faux doppelganger!

Below is the original cover by Ross Andru and Mike Esposito
And below is Al's version! The first is "clean" and the second including
the title logo etc.
